Affirmative Action

Heatpump (HPI) supports affirmative action and strives to replace staff vacancies with suitably qualified staff from previously disadvantaged individuals. A Xhosa-speaking individual was fully trained in a learnership program and has been fully qualified as a refrigeration technician. Two further employees are currently undergoing extensive training so that HPI will be in a position to continue to support its customers country-wide. The company is also an enthusiastic supporter of the skills plan and has trained its workers in several aspects of work place skills, thus each year ensuring that its skills levy is returned to the company by the Merseta.
